I’d put my money on Jason.

I had the honor of helping Celia Farber compile some video reels earlier this month, for a Liberty Speaks talk she did in Maryland.

Some of the videos were old AIDS Propaganda commercials, from the 1980s.

I noticed that I had heard the background music before… recently.

My son is a Friday the 13th movie fan (as was I as a kid) and that’s where I thought I had heard it… I asked him, and he pointed me directly to the beginning of his favorite one “Jason Lives” (Friday the 13th Part 6).  And he was right.  He was also pretty proud that he helped me find what I was looking for, for one of my videos.  Lol.

We also found it (almost) in part 7.

“What you have there is the Dies Irae which translates to Day of Wrath and is one of the oldest pieces of surviving music in the Western Tradition.  In modern times, it is used a lot in horror themes.  If you listen to the opening soundtrack of the Shining you will notice it embedded there.
